Nice to virtually meet you! Here's what you need to know about me.

Helping Others in My Post-Corporate World

About Me & My Family

I’m Sean Doorly, living in Montrose, California, with my brilliant wife, Denise, and our incredible daughter, Katarina.

Denise is a private practice psychologist who helps people manage the emotional impact of health conditions. She has two Master’s degrees and a PhD. Yes, I married up.

And Katarina?

She’s an avid reader, clarinet player, archer-in-training, accomplished birder, and nature photographer. She’s a great kid, and I am a proud Dad.

My family is my anchor; their love and support have been instrumental in my personal and professional journey.

Where I’ve Lived

Born in New Jersey, I’ve hopped around – from Long Island to Brooklyn, then San Diego, Los Angeles, and now Montrose (which is close to Pasadena).

My Passions

I love reading, writing, movies, TV, comic books, outdoor adventures, photography, and volunteering. As an event photographer for the Pasadena Audubon Society, La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, La Crescenta Elementary School, and the Montrose Christmas Parade, I capture the moments that unite people. I also serve on the Montrose Chamber of Commerce board – because I love being part of a community that makes things happen.

Five Fun Facts

  • I met my wife through Post-it notes. (Secret office romance for the win.)
  • I’ve been the Best Man at three weddings.
  • I taught my daughter two essential life skills: how to whistle and snap her fingers.
  • I only recently discovered that narwhals are real.
  • In my previous career, I’ve interviewed celebrities, including Tom Selleck, Anne Hathaway, Kate Winslet, Kurt Russel, Halle Berry, Jimmie Johnson, William Shatner, and more.

My Corporate Career

I’ve held a variety of positions in my 25-year career in the entertainment business, from celebrity interviewer and content editor to Vice President of Marketing Operations at Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing. Before Warner Bros., I helped launch In2TV at AOL – one of the first full-episode streaming sites – and managed digital content for Premiere Magazine Online, Road & Track, Women’s Day, and Sephora.

The entertainment industry can be cutthroat, but I was able to navigate it successfully by building strong relationships, staying adaptable, and maintaining a reputation as a good listener and the “here to help” guy who thrived on collaboration.

How I Can Help You as Your Career Ownership Coach®

As a Career Ownership Coach® with The Entrepreneur’s Source, I help professionals navigate career transitions and take control of their future. If you’re feeling stuck, burned out, or just wondering what’s next, I’ll help you explore options you may not have considered – without pressure, just possibilities.

Having spent decades managing projects, leading teams, and driving strategic initiatives, I know firsthand the challenges of corporate life – from navigating office politics to balancing long-term career growth with day-to-day responsibilities. I use that experience to help others take control of their careers. My services are free of charge, as I’m compensated by the businesses my clients choose to work with. That means you can explore your options with no financial risk – just an open mind and a willingness to see what’s possible.

“I started with just me and one truck, working out of my garage. I now have four employees, and I am in a commercial space. The earnings potential is pretty well limitless at this point. I am busy. I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
